Saint Cristina, patron saint of Lloret de Mar

We’re from Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava). This is where we grew up, where we have our physical store, and where we work. From here, we also manage our online store and serve as a starting point for the many fairs we attend to share our Mediterranean style.

We love participating in our town’s activities. We’ve done so since we were little, and we continue to do so now.

One of the most beautiful festivals in Lloret de Mar is the celebration of Santa Cristina, our patron saint. On July 24th, the people of Lloret de Mar gather in a procession by land and water to celebrate High Mass at the chapel dedicated to Santa Cristina. This day also marks the Ball de Plaça, a dance that has been performed since at least 1900. Every year, four girls and four boys from the town perform the dance in front of the town hall and all the citizens of Lloret de Mar.

We at Mediterranean Wear participate by dressing the children. Each year, they choose a Mediterranean Wear outfit for the procession. We’re proud to be able to participate.
